Futureworld ECO AWARD FOR BUSINESS

Johnson Commercial Diving Services Pty Ltd was the winner of the Futureworld 2008 Eco- Business Award that was announced and presented at Futureworld’s Annual Gala Dinner on May 22nd.

The Award, a $1000 cash prize and a trophy, was for a new ‘world first’ Hull Surface Treatment for commercial shipping. The award was sponsored by Community Sector Banking and presented by their representative Mr Peter Quarmby, and by Mr John Connor, the guest speaker at the Dinner.

Runners-ups in the Eco-Awards were the Five Ys Pty Ltd “Zipform” and Permaculture Visions International.

Five Ys’ “ Zipform” is an innovative means of making construction materials that have a vast range of potential applications.
